Steampunk on Sunday : What's better than a message in a bottle?

A machine in a wine glass!

When I first saw these videos,
I thought they were digital animation.

But no!

These are real!

Syzmon Klimek make tiny
steampunkery devices
from brass and bronze.

Then, he puts them into
wine glasses.

I don't really need to add anything else.

  1. OMG! they are divine! :D XXX

    1. Aren't they though? I was so thrilled when I realised this wasn't some fancy computer graphic. There were really things! They'd make a wonderful steampunk heart.

  2. Oh my gosh, that is magical and mechanical all at once!

    1. That's just what I thought! So tiny and delicate! And solar powered, which is cool, too!

  3. Freaking fantastic! Must share with the Little Princess!

  4. What a wonderful find. The world of miniatures is one of perfectionism as any tiny error can flaw these miniature wonders. I also like ornately decorated pocket watch movements, especially fusees and grand complications, as well as miniature firearms and tiny operational trains (N gauge), now I have something new to be on the lookout. The craftsmanship of all of these is tremendous. Thanks for sharing the miniature engine videos.

    There’s a Miniature Firearms Society:

    N gauge trains:

And Z gauge trains, which are even smaller:

    Fusee watches: and

These are some larger (working) model engines than the jewel you show on your blog.

  5. Wow! These are amazingly intricate!

  6. So amazing and so beautiful! WOW!!!
